The basement was carpeted in 2015. At the same time, the laundry hook-ups were replaced and the dryer vents were put into the ceiling. New cabinets hang above the washer and dryer, and (my favorite part) a pocket door now separates the laundry/furnace room from the rest of the basement. It was also repainted.
There is room for storage in the laundry room as well as under the stairs. The furnace was just replaced by Village Green last month.
The air conditioner was replaced last year (at our expense as is the procedure at Village Green), significantly reducing the electric bill.
